I know, the last date was 31st March 2018, but there are still many Aadhar, PAN card numbers which are not linked to mobile numbers, it’s frustrating for both to government and public as well.
As per the order given by the Supreme Court, it has been made mandatory by the government to link Aadhaar card with your mobile number. This step has been taken to eliminate fake Aadhaar cards and PAN accounts.
Linking a mobile number with your Aadhaar is a free process. There are two methods to re-verify the mobile number with Aadhaar.
Before we start we would like to update that Indian Government has increased the deadline for linking your Aadhar card and PAN card with your mobile number. This year (2020), the deadline was 31st March, but due to the Covid19 crises in India deadline has been extended.

How to link Aadhaar with mobile number via OTP
Mobile customers can link their number to Aadhaar and verify it again through OTP. However, only those customers whose mobile numbers are already linked with their Aadhaar will be able to use it. Consumer has to follow the offline process for linking Aadhaar to mobile number by visiting their local sim vendor or by visiting the store if their mobile number is not linked with Aadhaar. Here’s how you can link Aadhaar with your mobile number through OTP
Step 1: Call 14546* from your mobile number.
Step 2: Select whether you are an Indian or give your consent to verify the base again by pressing NRI
Step 3: 1
Step 4: Your Enter 12- digit Aadhaar Number And confirm by pressing 1
Step 5: It would generate an OTP, which is sent to the registered mobile number
Step 6: Agree to give permission to your operator to access your registered name, photograph, date Of birth from UIDAI
Step 7: IVR will read out your last 4 digits of mobile number
Step 8: If it is right agree to send OTP
Step 9: press 1 to complete the process
Go to the vendor / store and link the mobile number with Aadhaar
According to the government and the Supreme Court, it is now mandatory to link the Aadhaar card, Pan card with your SIM card number. To link your Aadhaar to your phone number, you have to go to your mobile company store. Follow the procedure given below to easily link your Aadhaar number to mobile number:
Step 1: Visit your Mobile Network, center / store
Step 2: Must take a photocopy of your aadhaar card
Step 3: Tell your mobile number to executive
Step 4: Center staff will send an OTP on the mobile number linked to the card
Step 5 : Tell executive your OTP to verify
Step 6: Now executive will ask for your fingerprints
Step 7: you will receive a confirmation SMS from your mobile network
Step 8: Complete the E-KYC process by sending “Y” via SMS on the same number on which you have been asked for.
Note: The mobile number should be on your name. Only you can link your aadhar to your mobile, you can’t someone else to verify your Aadhar, PAN or other identifications
You have to a photocopy of your Aadhaar card. Store executive will ask you to scan your fingerprint or any other biometric identification. After that, you will receive an OTP on your phone number and share it with executive
There is no processing fee for connecting Adhar card till 30th June 2020

Everyone else will have to get verified again.
Question. I have not linked my Aadhaar card to my mobile number which I have mentioned in my credit card and personal loan application. Do I need to link?
Answer: No, you do not need to link the mobile number with Aadhaar which you mentioned in personal loan and credit card application as the linking service has been discontinued till further notice.
Qquestion. Is the linking method same for postpaid and prepaid customers?
Answer: Yes, the process of connecting the mobile number to Aadhaar is the same for prepaid and postpaid connections. It is only that prepaid customers have to go to a vendor while postpaid customers have to go to their telecom operator’s center.
